There are 3 Renko chart bar types that can be used for day trading: (1) standard bars (2) standard bars with price wicks (3) custom bars with a mean price offset. This article will discuss the different Renko chart bars and whether there is any reason to switch from the standard Renko trading charts we currently use to day trade.
The Renko chart momentum hook is an important trading strategy as it indicates price continuation, making it a component in trade addon setups. Considering trade addons typically are at later prices than the initial entry, we want this hook indication that momentum isn’t ending.
Renko trade setup filters are designed to increase profitability. This is done by avoiding Renko trades that are against price resistance or support, momentum, or inside of price consolidation. Trade filters avoid more losing trades that causing a winning trade to be missed.
The Renko chart trade setups are traded as a combination of multiple indicator and/or method components that occur at the same time and are not against momentum or into support or resistance.
The Renko method trading indicators and trade setups have been developed with a momentum component, since momentum and divergences affect price movement.
