The Renko trading basics posts are intended to introduce traders to Renko charts and our trading method.
Before trading this chart type, it is necessary to understand what Renko charts are and how they are made. Most traders use minute or tick bar charts that are plotted using time frames or trade quantity. Renko charts are unique in that they are made from price moves of the same size.
I spent many years day trading tick bar charts, before switching to Renko chart for day trading. The decision was made based on the clarity of the Renko bricks fixed price moves -vs- the irregular and random size of tick bars.
I found the Renko chart trading strategies ‘easier’ to teach and learn than the original tick bar trading method. This is of course very important for training and profitable trading.
Besides discussing Renko trading basics, these posts will go over our Renko trading indicators and trade setups. Also discussed are our day trading strategies and video training program.
